Pinky and Kamal
We’re celebrating a new series on the MGTH blog! To launch our fresh new series, MGTH Chats, I recently had the pleasure of enjoying a lovely conversation with Natalie Carusi, founder and designer of Pinky and Kamal!
Pinky and Kamal is an Australian movement wear and lifestyle label, ethically hand-made and hand-dyed in Bali, Indonesia. The collection is created using sustainable methods and includes a variety of yoga-ready wear such as crops, leggings and shorts in gorgeous natural fabrics. The distinctive range of active wear perfect for women who enjoy moving freely while staying comfortable. Think “stylish Pilates-meets-coffee days”.
Having been a fan for many years, I was keen to understand the inspiration behind the Pinky and Kamal label. With several of the comfy pieces as staples in my own wardrobe, the marketing nerd in me was really curious to ask Nat more about her business strategy, especially her use of email and social media. Nat’s regular email newsletters, in combination with her social media presence always entices me to click through and start shopping!
As a fellow woman in business, getting to know Nat a little more was heartwarming, and helped me to understand I wasn’t alone in the regular challenges that face us when running a small business.
Enjoy the interview video above to learn more of how Nat has grown in the first 5 years of her business, whilst tackling some of the obstacles that inevitably meet us as small business owners.
