What is Make Good Things Happen?

Make Good Things Happen is a D’Alton Baker Production, an online platform designed to provide the maker community of Australia with educational resources, community connection and practical advice to use in their small businesses.

How does it work?

Make Good Things Happen is a subscription-based membership. Members pay a monthly fee to access our library of resources, membership to our members only Facebook group, and so much more.

Why should I join?

The maker community of Australia has never seen an educational platform as beautiful and easy-to-use as this dedicated entirely to ensuring they are informed and connected.

If you’re a member of the independent art and design industry of Australia and you’re looking for advice and accountability on your small business journey, this is for you.

Expect instructional videos, downloadable templates, timely advice, the ability to chat with other makers, interesting newsletters and practical hints and tips provided in an easy-to-use interface with exquisite branding.

From product photography to website do’s and don’ts, managing your content strategy through to posting on social media, “MGTH” is the maker’s one-stop-shop for business educational needs.

How much does it cost?

There’s memberships to suit all business budgets, starting at just $9 a month.

How do I join?

How do I pay?

Monthly payments will occur through PayPal, where you can use your credit card or a direct debit from your own bank.

Do you keep my financial information?

No. As we use PayPal as our payments provider, we do not see any of the information that is transferred between you, the member, and PayPal, including your sensitive financial data.

Can I share my login with someone else?

No. This is against the terms of use of your membership and if you’re found to be doing so your subscription will be cancelled effective immediately with no refunds. More information can be found in the subscriber Terms of Use which you agree to when you sign up to the platform.

Do your videos have closed captions?

Yes! We have invested in a system to ensure accessibility to our videos for all members of the community (particularly those that might find our voices irritating LOL!)

Can I just subscribe to the newsletter?

Yes you can. We have a separate Make Good Things Happen FREE newsletter that we’ll be sending out regularly to update interested people within the community who have not yet decided to join MGTH with a paid subscription.

Who do I get in touch with if something isn’t working properly?

Please head to the contact page on the website and let us know the problems that you’re having. If you’re seeing an error message please note those details down. We’ll respond to you within 24 hours on business days (Monday to Friday).

Can I get a refund?

No. Members are allowed to access downloadable content when they are subscribed to the platform, and as such we are not issuing any refunds at all. You are more than welcome to cancel your subscription at any time, you are not “locked in”, however no refunds, transfers, credits or exchanges are provided due to the nature of the platform.

If you have purchased a yearly subscription, you are only able to request a refund in the circumstance that you have an unused portion of your subscription. For example, if you’ve paid for 12 months but 4 months have passed, you will be returned 8 months worth of your subscription value.
