Kirsten Devitt of Each to Own
Thanks to our community partnership with BrisStyle, it is with great pleasure that I introduce to you the next in our series of MGTH Chats; Kirsten Devitt!
If you’re not familiar with Kirsten’s work, each to own is one of the community success stories. Since 2009, using laser cut acrylics, Kirsten has been creating jewellery for the vivacious and the bold.
Not one to rest on her laurels, Kirsten has also begun a variety of other creative ventures including the keep-oh range of posy vases for propagators, the each to own retail store based in her hometown of Murwillumbah and her most recent project just next door, small works gallery.
With an incredibly generous nature, Kirsten has become a leader amongst the community and with an Instagram following to rival Celeste Barber, she has a lot of wisdom to share.
The conversation I had with Kirsten traverses many topics from choosing a business name, to how to keep going when times are tough. If any of the themes mentioned in this video cause you concern, please seek help (Lifeline 13 11 14).
NB: This video was recorded in June, just moments before the Sydney lockdown, which is why there is no reference to it. Take care everyone.

I love Kirsten’s advice about saying yes to lots of things when you’re just starting out, and making it happen, and then say no to things further down the track if you need to.
Thanks for sharing Leanne! I agree that is such solid advice, the hardest part can be saying no!
Kirsten is so down to earth and relatable. I loved listening in today.
I couldn’t agree more Jay, thanks for listening and sharing!
Great to see u going so well, Kirsten! Must have been the positive approach stimulated by Warwick High School that enabled your successful journey! All the best! Hope you’re a millionaire! P.S. ex “Shearing”
