Have a Maker Christmas
Buy Direct from a Maker this gift-giving season, from our community of Australian small businesses and support small, local, handmade and ethical
Yep, it’s that time of year again. But this year is different.
This year is on the tail end of a rather difficult couple of years for us all, particularly the creative members of the Australian maker community.
They’ve been managing lockdowns, constraints to supply chains, homeschooling, and most importantly, the cancellation of large scale design markets in many states.
So this year, let’s send a message of support with our wallets.
Buying directly from a maker, through their own website, is 100% the best possible way to provide as much bang for your support buck as possible.
You see, when you buy directly, your money goes entirely to the maker themselves.
To give you a helping hand in providing this much needed encouragement to a vital segment of the Australian community this gift giving season, we’ve prepared a gift guide of amazing products created by makers of our community.
Go on, show them you care.
In the process you’ll find yourself with some super special, limited edition and often handcrafted gifts to give, and your money votes for a better world.
One where conscious consumption means buying directly from the person that makes the product, just like the old days.
We’ve included deadlines for delivery as they pertain to each of the businesses, so make sure you get in fast to avoid disappointment.
Click through to view more of the online stores. You might even see something you can send to someone as a massive HINT.
The links below will lead you through to the makers own online store. It might be on Etsy or it might be a standalone website. Either way, you can be certain if you use these links you are buying directly from a maker in the Australian community.
